Bodacious Promotions celebrating its 11th year, is certified nationally by the National Minority Supplier Development Council, (NMSDC) by the state of PA as a “minority and woman owned” business, and by the City of Philadelphia as a “minority owned” business. Ms. Hayes has held memberships with the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors bureau, The Multicultural Affairs Congress, and Center City Proprietors. Cassandra served six years on the Small Business Board of The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and spearheaded a strategic diversity initiative for the Chamber’s membership. She currently sits on the Executive Board of the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources, as Vice President of External Affairs. Ms. Hayes is a firm believer in giving back to the community, and does so by continuing mentoring a high school graduate, donating products and services to community and church groups and by lending her skill set within several church ministries. She is a member of Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church in Phila. PA. She is Executive Director of The Solomon Principle Group, a non-profit whose mission is to provide training and consultive services to Christian entrepreneurs. Bodacious Promotions, Inc. along with Exelon Corporation was the chief sponsor of the 1st Kingdom Entrepreneurs Business Plan competition which awarded prizes totally $5000. Ms. Hayes worked with the Marriott Bridges Program, (a non-profit organization) which places mentally or physically disabled high school students as interns. She has employed several senior citizens and “welfare to work”, giving both a sense of purpose and pride. Cassandra avails herself as a speaker on many occasions regarding entrepreneurship to youth training groups such as Temple Young Entrepreneurs, Philadelphia Futures, The Multicultural Affairs Congress and YouthBuild. She was invited to Wharton to lecture to the Leadership Education and Development Program for Business, an intensive program for high school juniors focused on strategic business practices. Ms. Hayes and Bodacious Promotions were highlighted in the March 2005 issue of “Counselor” (the promotional products industry magazine) as one of the 10 Minority Industry Players to Watch. Cassandra Hayes was featured In Black Enterprise Magazine (Oct, 2001) heralding her extraordinary win over 100 contestants in a Statewide Minority Business Plan Competition. That same year Ms. Hayes addressed the Nat’l Federation of Retailers at their 2001 New York Conference on “The effect of the Internet on Small Business”. Ms. Hayes attended the Eastman School of Music at the University of Rochester, and is a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.
